Hi everyone. At WAAAG, our focus is always on the health and safety of our animals, our volunteers and supporters. We believe that we can assist in minimizing the spread of COVID 19 in our community by being diligent and vigilant. Below are actions that WAAAG will be taking in response to COVID 19:
All upcoming participation in public adoption and fundraising events are canceled. We will continue to publicize our adoptable animals and hold online fundraisers through our social media accounts.
At this time, we are still planning to hold our Dog Jog on Sunday, May 3rd. In tandem, we will also be offering a virtual run where you can run/walk at your leisure wherever you are and we’ll send you a package with a t-shirt and all the fun swag as if you showed up and joined us in person. Watch our web site for more information.
Follow CDC guidelines for cleaning/disinfecting cabins regularly.
Request that volunteers remain home if they feel any symptoms of the virus.
Ensure we have an adequate amount of supplies on hand (dog and cat food, treats, cat litter, cleaning supplies, etc). Please go to our Amazon Wish list to see how you can help.
We will reassess and take further actions if needed as the coming days and weeks unfold. We know that these can be difficult times, particularly to the small businesses in our community and our thoughts and prayers are with them. Thank you everyone for your continued support.
